MISSION STATEMENT
The Labrador West Music Festival nurtures a friendly atmosphere where amateur musicians of all ages
can enjoy performing and hearing others perform, while, at the same time, gaining new musical insights
from experienced adjudicators.
OBJECTIVES
1. To improve music teaching and performance by providing professional assessment.
2. To increase performance opportunities for local musicians.
3. To foster in the citizens of Labrador West a greater appreciation and understanding of music.
4. To revive interest in choral and instrumental groups such as church and other choirs, bands,
orchestras, and other ensembles.
5. To encourage enjoyable participation in musical performance.
